One of my cats thinks she belongs between the keyboard and the monitor when I am on the computer. She also thinks I need help making morning coffee, using the bathroom, working at the dining room table, doing dishes, and lately she's decided I'm lonely when I'm sleeping. She also insists on helping me get ready to crochet by having the skeins of yarn strung all over the carpet; she helps me dust the top of the bathroom door by walking on the top of it if the door is open; and she is trying to decide which of my perfume she likes best by walking on top of my dresser where I keep it. Shadow is a real busy girl!

Both my cats do that with the keyboard. The big one positions herself right in front of the monitor too. I just have to stop what I am doing and give her some love and attention. I think it's cute (annoying sometimes, but cute).

My cat thinks that whatever I decide to involve myself in involves a pillow for her. If I read, she uses my book as a pillow, If I do laundry, she'll lay on my clothes. Cats love our attention.

Some cats are needy for attention. Your cat is just trying to involve itself with you, or get you to give up and pet and scratch it.
