Orange is one of those words that famously has nothing to rhyme with it. The other one is silver. However, the Oxford Rhyming Dictionary does show both these words as having a half rhyme (also known as 'imperfect rhyme' or 'near rhyme').
The difference between a perfect rhyme and a near rhyme (orange lozenge and silver salver are both examples of near rhymes) is quite simple. A perfect rhyme (also known as a 'full rhyme' or 'true rhyme') such as smitten/written depends on the last stressed vowel, in this case the 'i', and all the sounds following it; they make up the rhyming element. A half rhyme such as orange and lozenge is a rhyme where the stressed vowel sounds, in this case 'a' and 'e', do not match.

Orange is one of those words that famously has nothing perfectly to rhyme with it. The other one is silver. However, the Oxford Rhyming Dictionary does show both these words as having half-rhymes (such as lozenge with orange and salver with silver).
The principle of a half-rhyme in these cases is quite simple. Whereas a full and stressed rhyme (e.g. hand / stand) or even an unstressed rhyme (such as handing / standing) contain vowels that are common to both words, a half-rhyme like orange / lozenge or silver / salver (technically speaking, pararhymes) has obvious differences between vowels in certain syllables.

there may be imperfect rhymes and not exact rhymes that sound something like orange like door hinge, but nothing exactly rhymes with orange and purple. those are the only two words in the english language that do not have any word rhyming perfectly with them.
