Just over a year ago I applied for disability through the VA and got a % rating and then I applied at the social security office and also recieved disability however, different states have certain laws and regulations reguarding disability. I suggest you contact your local VA office and social security office and ask them. you can locate your local VA through their web site, their link is http://www.va.gov/

Good Luck

NO! don't believe it if they say differantly. this is a common mis-conception. you can receive your VA disibilty and Social securtiy disability at the same time. you may have to struggle for awhile, and learn the lingo, but you can get both at once. nothing can touch your VA disability, and ss can't use it against you.

good luck!

The % of your service connected disability may determine how much ss you receive.
