2(1.5c+4)+-1
so you change the +-1 to -1 becasue +- is always a minus
then you distrubute the 2 into the parentheses so the answer is
(3c+8)-1
then you minus one
so the final answer is 3c+7

Using My Dear Aunt Sally (Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract)
2(1.5c+4)+-1
Multiply the 2 through the parenthesis:
(3c +8) + -1
= 3c +8 +-1
= 3c +7
And there you go. ;-)
