For practicality it would be a hybrid, but for design either the 1954 xk120 Jag or a Corvette.

It would be hands down the Shelby Cobra 289 FIA, I think they only made 4 of them. As for the other cars produced by Mr. Shelby's Company, even guys who hate Fords liked them. The Shelby cars after all were not Fords, They were Shelby Cobras. I also have always liked the 1962 Corvette, I tended to like cars that pushed the boundaries. Dodge did this with their 1969 Charger Daytona, as did Jim Hall with his Chaparrals. But if your talking daily driver, I would have to go with the 1980-1989 Honda Accord LXi 5 speed manual hatchbacks, I owned a 1980 Accord hatchback LX with a 5 speed manual, was the most practical car ever made. It even fit my definition of sports utility vehicle. 1. In was fun to drive, really sporty. 2. With it's front engine, front wheel drive it could, and did go places 4 wheel drive trucks couldn't go. 3. With the back seats folded down it could carry two weeks worth of groceries. Now that my friend is a real sports utility vehicle.

Its a toss up between a 1958 Chevy and a 1963 Corvette Stingray split window.

Well, I'm more into pick-up trucks but for a car I think the nicest on the market right now is a Pontiac G6. Yes I'm a GM girl! Stylish, affordable and pretty quick for a only having a V6. They also have a hard top convertable model. Very nice!
