We all need affirmation. You need to hear things especially from those close or around you. I think we all take it for granted that the other person "already knows" and that causes for a lack of communication. As humans I believe it necessary to communicate feelings, good bad or otherwise.

Yes I do. But if someone asks a question like that, they're either insecure or seeking some kind of reassurance. Women are famous for this, they use the " Twenty Six Quesions There Are No Right Answers To" like "Do I look fat?" or "Do you think she's pretty?"
