"Where Can My Baby Be" (or something like that, I forget the name & the guy that sings it)

The chourus goes something like: "Where oh where can my baby be, the Lord took her away from me, she's gone to Heaven, so I've got to be good, so I can go to meet her when I leave this world..."

Then it goes on to talk about how the singer killed his lover in a car accident driving her home from a date one night.

It's actually quite sad, although the chourus is really catchy.

I've got guitar tabs for that song somewhere, but I can't find them right now.

Sorry!

AaaaaaaaaaaaaaahI reme-ember!
We were flyin' aloooone... and hit something in the air!
....Something warm is dripping down my fi-ingers... the girl I knew has such a distant stare...

Ah, memories... that was a popular song on the radio when I was in junior high in the early seventies... It's called D.O.A., and is sung by Bloodrock.

Then there's the always great oldie, Transfusion, by Nervous Norvis (sp?)

Those are my two faves.

Martina McBride's "Cheap Whiskey" video is awesome

about a drunk driver drinking and driving

Cheap Whiskey

song goes.........

"He sits all alone in his easy chair Staring back on his lost yesterdays Long before he encountered the bottle And the demons that drove her away

"In his hand he is holding her photograph Her image all tear-stained and worn Tonight he's embracing reality
And he curses the day he was born"

"And the darkness still echoes her warning You can't have two loves in your life Now the things that will haunt him
Until the day that he dies Is the smell of cheap whiskey
And the sound of goodbye"

"Since the hour that she left he's been sober And each breath that he draws makes him think About the light of his life gone forever When he traded her love for a drink"

"And the darkness still echoes her warning You can't have two loves in your life Now the things that will haunt him Until the day that he dies Is the smell of cheap whiskey And the sound of goodbye"

"The smell of cheap whiskey And the sound of goodbye"

video goes.........
