Either is fine, but. . .
I like to see students who use an opposing perspective to help them focus their own. A time-honored tradition of academic discourse is to say, "Expert Y says ________, but my opinion is better because ___________." Such a strategy gives you a thesis coming out of the gate.

It probably depends a great deal on the subject at hand and the purpose of the essay. Also, similar perspectives can have different reasons behind them or have different levels of importance to the people with the perspective.

Just the direction of.."include someone else's perspective" seems to ask for an opposing opinion. If you were to find a similiar opinion as yours, the directions would be more specific toward that goal.

that's really depend on you, which one is easier for you? If you have little information on your side, i suggest you to find similar perspective, that way you have support and your essay might seem longer, if not more logical than the opposite perspective.

I think, for the sake of making it interesting, you should find an opposite perspective. That shows that you're willing to look at something from someone else's point of view. <*)))><

It's usually better to find a perspective that goes against your own. It shows that you've taken conflicting viewpoints into consideration.

It doesn't matter, just ask the first person you can and write down what they say OR look up a person who has written about the subject and include it....
