No, not only will he require heat at some point, but chameleons also need humidity....something most houses do not have excess of. He will get cold, and dehydrate and then will go dormant and die. You could make him some sort of open enclosure, but you need to provide a heat source, and also spray his area a couple of times a day with mist. Plus, unless you are planning on setting crickets free for him every few days to eat, he would most likely starve to death as well. Chameleons are one of the least hearty reptiles. You should do a bit of research to see if you can accomodate their needs. They are an awesome creature, and much cooler when alive! Good Luck!

If your chameleon likes a specific tree that you have indoors he will stay there. But as a free roaming pet no. You might not be able to find him to feed him.

Maybe for a little, but don't lose track of were it is. Maybe a couple hours or so, then put him/her back.
