8 years of actually schooling (4 college, 4 med school), then you have i think like around two years of basic medicine residency, and then to become specialized in pediatrics, however many years (probably around 3) in a pediatric residency, and when your in residency you only make like around 35,000-55,000 dollars a year. people think you become that crap right out of medschool, but there is so many more years required to specialize. i want to be a dermatologist, so ive already researched my future. good luck.

4 years of college followed by 4 years of medical school followed by an internship and then a residency. You will also need a great deal of money or grants/loans/scholarships.

4 years undergraduate
4 years medical
2 years specialty (cuz pediatrics is a specialty)
I think its 2 years residency but i'm not sure
