Well the dealership is wrong, something is misconected, or wired wrong thats causing the failure. You sometimes get alot farther if you go to a private shop owner then the dealer. Especially if the car is still on warranty b/c the dealerships tend to not want to fix things, even though it was an error in the craftsmenship. I know from personal experience(dealing with dealerships v.s. private shops)

I own a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and I've never had wiring problems, my a/c went out, but it didnt cause electrical problems. Good Luck

1 guestion....do the gauges go crazy 2 does it restart? Could be a bad battery or alternator.....Sometimes side post batteries have bad connections or post breaks..check the battery terminals. If the gauges are going crazy while driving it is probably a bad battery terminal or bad connection otherwise. If the car goes dead and has to be jumped back to a start it could be the battery or alternator...a bad alternator if the battery light stays on it is almost definately the alternator. Battery would be my first suspect...had the same thing happen in my silverado gauges would just go dead heading down the road. one day the terminal physically fell out of the battery requiring me to buy a new one.

It sounds intermittent.. unfortunately chrysler doesnt release much informaion on their vehicles so the dealer would know the best. Their electrical systems are very complex and very hard to follow without the right infor. Your best bet is the dealer. Maybe take it to another dealer. Ask around for who has the better service dept.

Two possible culprits, on this model one is the ignition switch
the circuit has gotten hot and need to be replaced. Two the fusible
links are damaged, take to an independent shop.. I have fixed ,
plenty of these jeeps.

You have a bad instrument cluster circuit board. I can,t recall right now but I believe there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) concerning this issue. It involves checking the cluster, wiring and the BCM(body control module) in order to eliminate all possible causes but I have found the cluster itself to be the cause on several occasion,s. Good luck.

sounds like a fuse, in accordance to probability there is yet another fuse for those gadgets shrink than the hood. If no longer, even as installation the battery, they could have shorted out those device lights furniture

you have a bad conection somewhere.
it could be a lose fuse. or a bad wire.
I had a new yorker that would do that, it turned out to be a bad ignition switch.
