Angular velocity is measured as the # of radians traveled per second.

ω is used for angular speed.
ω = 1/7 radians / 50 sec
ω = 0.002857 radians/sec

There are 2pi radians in a circle, and the circumference of the circle is d * pi = 16pi inches.
1 radian = circumference / 2pi = 8 inches
0.002857 radian = 0.0229 inches

v therefore equals 0.0229 in/sec.
