5 Quarts Including filter i only use synthetic oil

I have a 2003 f-150 with the same motor, and my manual calls for synthetic with a weight of 5w-20. I just bought the oil from ford last week and my truck took 6 qts. If you have the manual, you may want to check it out. Hope this helps.
