Because he convinced IBM to give him the stuff they thought was crap and then he ran with it legally. He started his business with their scraps! Can you spell ENTREPRENEUR? I don't think that he even finished college. Harvard, was it? The boy had vision. My sister graduated from Harvard and she'd like a job just managing his charitable foundations!

um, because he started in his garage and is now the richest man in the world? With NO inheritance, and he dropped out of U of M, so no degree either.
