powered speakers have the amp inside, so just go from deck to speaker mixer to speaker.

Powered Speakers are heavier than normal speakers as they have the amps (the power) built in them! The beauty with them tho is that you can have a normal mixer say only 3 or 4 channels instead of a powered amp ( mixing desk) 10 / 12 chanels which are alot heavier!
You need to weigh up what easier for you to use!

Hi >
With the big Bggers, if they have a "kettlle lead" socket, _
Plug it into the mains. It will have an internal sub-amp which does the trick. Same with computer amps.
One weny a bit smoky, though, on a gig in the Mid-East, as the line to neutral voltage transpired to be sitting at 310V. Not good.
Keep plugging things in if they seem to fit the socket, and this bit is done via a £14 mike, testingg which hasn#t blown up yet. Ah it jist made a nono or two. Back to the keyboard.

Oh well. All the best.

Precisely. Powered speakers have their own amplifiers and thus do not require you to go from mixer-->power amp-->speaker.

you can just go from the mixer to the speaker.

They go from the mixer to the Amp then it hits your speakers (your speakers from the amp) they are called monitor speakers... They face you so you don't get the reverberation and can hear what you are mixing... Trust the headphones and give it to em!
