Alright. I've been friends with this guy for over 2 years now. Shortly after I started talking to him, I liked him...but then he got a girlfriend. He dated her for 18 months. We still stayed friends tho. He is now broken up with this girl, and he flirts with me constantly. He has always been kinda questionable with his flirting even when he was dating her, but now it's worse. All of his friends and my friends constantly say we are all over each other...but he says it's just joking around with a friend. He tells me he kinda likes these 2 other girls...so i feel like he mustn't like me then. I just get suspicious because he would do anything for me. He came over my house at 1 in the morning bc he knew i was upset, and he wanted to make sure I was alright. He didnt even call. He just showed up. We hung out the other day at 1:00 am again...and we watched tv...but we were laying on each other, and he kinda had his arm around me. Is this just being friendly? He says we're just good friends.

Well, the basis for the best relationships is to be best friends to begin with. I don't care what you call what you are, but it sounds like you both like each other's company more than just hanging out with a friend.
I know a lot of couples who ended up spending the rest of their lives together and started off being best friends.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

From what i read ,yes you are his best buddy ever. pls don get confuse with his sign, man will do anything to make make sure his best friend is ok, that's y he came to your house 1am in the morning. if you think you both have a shot you can try. my advise don't, if you do you might lose a buddy who could hang out .

i think he does like you more than a friend but is afraid to tell you he could be waiting for you to say something..there sounds like a lot of chemistry is going on but your both afraid to make the first move...i say go for it.!! i think you will be glad you did!! good luck to you!!
