Someone told me that on this holiday Jewish people are encouraged to "visualize" the next year and set the tone for it.
Anyone know how this works-does anyone do this, and what do they imagine for their coming year?

i've never really heard of that, but you're kind of supposed to ask God for whatever you hope for that year, so maybe that's kind of the same thing

that is such a good idea. I read once a genius looks 5 to 10 years ahead. A normal man plans his week or month.
The first sign of senility is when you look back.
the bible tells us in so many passages and ways. Never look back. You can't change the past. Only the future.
Unless it is to learn from our mistakes and not repeat them.
