well..it helps..but being friends, being able to trust COMPLETELY, and knowing that your partner will be there thru thick and thin is what matters most..for the good and the bad times

Well actually I do think that all it takes is love. B/c just b/c a gir/guy cheats on their spouce doesn't mean that they totally break up with them. Some times they love the person so much they give them another chance. So it doesn't really take honesty. And just b/c a person looses something really important like a wedding ring doesn't mean the person will break up with some one. So it doesn't really take responsibility. And just b/c some one beats the crap outa there spouce doesn't necessarly mean that the person will break up with them. So it doesn't really take respect. And the reason why these ppl aren't leaving their dishonest, unresponsible, disrespectful spouce is b/c they love them with all their heart. So yes. I do think all it takes is love.

Love is great, and necessary, but it takes more than that to make a sustaining relationship. You need commitment, respect, integrity, and a selfless devotion to your partner. Without these qualities, love itself is simply not enough for the long term.

They say love can conquer all but I have a really hard time believing it. My ex and I really loved each other but there was things wrong with are relationship and no matter how much we tried it didnt work. I wish it was true things would be alots less complicated.
Things you need to make a relationship work:
1. love
2. trust
3. respect
4, communication
and those are just the main things!

Love is not enough. Trust, responsibility, caring, thoughfulness, a JOB - after the honeymoon period wears off, you'll need somene who can be you partner and protector through all the things life throws at you.
Love is only the begining.

It definitely takes more than hearing it... I remember I got in an argument with my ex about that... you can't just say I love you and expect everything to be okay. You have to show it, and I have to feel it... Listen to this song, it explains it perfectly...
