Leonardo Da Vinci never lived in the Biblical times when Jesus existed. He belonged to the Renascence Era. He wasn't invited to the Last Supper with Jesus and His 12 disciples to draw a portrait of them. Who gave him that idea about Jesus and Mary???

They both lived in different eras, how was he supposed to know that "rumor".

In the Renascence Era was when people began to rebel against the Catholic Church and some gave their back at God to begin to find their truth with science.

Leonardo was a scientist.

Was he a Christian?

Why he painted that portrait of The Last Supper?.

Olive Whatever

Why do people believe the bible if all of it was written by people 300 hundred years or more after Jesus death?

That's NOT the question I asked. Go someplace else to ask that dumbass question if you can't answer MY QUESTION.

and thanks for giving me thumbs down. I love Olives! I eat them for dinner.

Leonardo Is Leonardo, Not The DVC!

Why did Leonardo paint the Supper? Historical info is available in libraries (written and otherwise). You’re a Christian, so I don’t expect you to resort to Necromancy to get your interview with Leonardo!

Here are my own points...

1* If you have a solid understanding and a solid faith, why even bother about a mere novel? I had a big argument with my Catholic brother over the above.

2 * Why does the DVC set people questioning poor old Leonardo? Bless him. People are so lazy; they’d rather let a novel do the thinking for them!

3 * The DVC is detestable to the intelligent human. People, however, get too caught up in the religious smoke screen to take notice. Don’t be next.

4 * People are much more gullible than I even shudder to imagine! This mind numbing plaque is annoying! Couple this with the world’s insatiable craving for anything sensational and you have a recipe for intellectual suicide. These are the same people who fell for the Bible Code and the Shroud of Turin. Sadly, the next flavour of the year awaits these intellectually challenged masses – and I shudder!

By the way, I’m not even a Christian; far from it, really.

the premise is that Leo was a member of the secret society that was hiding the identity of Mary Mag's offspring (all daughters....go figure THOSE odds out)....
Leo was a christian and a scientist

he painted the portrait because he wanted to

the daVinci code is pure fiction, and badly written at that

I don't think anyone believes it...I think people just love the fictional story about it...kinda like being obsessed with Harry Potter or Dungeons and Dragons...it's a nice fantasy...

People love to have their ears tickled by fables and fantasies--it keeps them from having to face realities.
