Well they can only rise so high, as they go up the pressure decreace and the balloon will start drifting at that altatude, and since the balloons are always slowly leaking out their contents sooner or later they become heavier than the air around them and start to drop, some time after that they will finally end up falling back to earth.

It follows the wind for a while, but eventually, after a day or two, enough helium leaks out that they start falling, slowly, and end up in a field, or in someone's backyard, or something.

they explode. because of the pressure inside the balloon is too strong the the plastic can't hold it

but if u the balloon is strong enough to retain the pressure then it would just stop rising between high layers of the atmosphere and (obviously) space

Helium will eventually diffuse through the surface or leaks or imperfections. It will deflate and fall into the ground or sea (crash or drown).

as they rise, the atmosphere pressure on the outside gets less until they expand and burst or reach equilibrium with the less dense air. then they deteriate because of the uv and burst. then gravity prevails
