First, consult a doctor to make sure you don't have a yeast infection or some other medical problem. Now that you've received a clean bill of health let's do the hygiene thing. Trim your pubic hair on the shorter side. Hair holds in bacteria and perspiration. After cleansing with soap and water, try powdering your "coochie" and get well into the groin area as well. Wipe yourself in the correct direction (front to back). Too much douching is not good -- cleanses your body of the "good" bacteria it needs to stay healthy. Cotton underwear is also good. Hope this helps. Eat yogurt two or three times a week -- helps in maintaining the proper pH of your body.

First of all I cant stress this enough! DONT DOUCHE!!! ITS VERY BAD FOR THE NATURAL STUFF THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE! Your smell is from Not EATING healthy! proper diet and cleanliness should be enough! no need for all the extra (BS)!! Another thing that helps with red small bumps(from after shave) is a little deodorant! That will help that! cotton does help but it is not what is causing your smell! Lots of veggies and a healthy balance of protein! In about a month when your body stabilizes you should smell much fresher! and please no more douche`!! hope you smell fresh soon! have a goodnight!

Don't douch! Douching washes away the good bacteria that lives in your vagina to keep infections away. Just if it really smells, then you may have a yeast infection, go to the doctor just to be sure.

It is normal to have a musky odor around the vaginal area. I don't recommend douching since that destroys the good bacteria and can lead to yeast infections. Good hygiene can be accomplished by frequent bathing. The vagina cleans itself, unless there is some underlying problem such as a yeast infection or trichomonas vaginitis, both of which are common and can be successfully treated with OTC salves. Wearing cotton underwear is a good idea. If you are having a discharge or any irritation in that area, I would recommend that you see your gyno. Those infections can produce abnormal odors.

You could have an infection, I would go get checked. Also, washing that area alot isn't the best idea, cleaning it too much can take away the helpful bacteria that you're suposed to have. Hope this helps.

Douching can be quite dangereous and introduce bacteria - and make you smell. Try washing down there with a coup of warm water with a couple of tablespoons of vinegar added - its supposed to be a slightly acid environment, and you might need to rebalance.

You might have an infection - in which case you need to see a doctor and get treated. Nothing you can do at home is going to make it better or ease the situation, see your obgyn asap.

don't douch, it disturbs the natural pH of your vagina.
do wash with mild soap or try baking soda diluted with water.
wear loose fitting underwear (also preferably with cotton crotch)or go bare when you sleep to avoid yeast infections.
do you shave or atleast trim your pubic hair? if not, please do so. it's maybe because of the hair.
do visit your gyne to rule out infections.
