Okay, I know EXACTLY what you mean. That song "Peice of Shite Car" well that was about MY car, I swear! LOL.
I went thru this. What you can do is find a college or tradeschool, votec, or high school that has mechanic studies or programs. They work on vehicles for free!!!! It takes them longer of course, but who cares! I got my motor rebuilt, and my transmission from them for nothing at my local high school mech tech program. They did a wonderful job too!
Sometimes Social Services depending where you live, will do a once a year emergency check to you up to 300 dollars. For vehicles if you work, tires, upkeep, etc. Even housing, like behind on bills or rent. So, you can use it for your car too.
These are just a few programs. There are others you can search in larger areas or cities near you, that if you give them your trashy car, they will give you a working car of same value as if it was working.
I hope this helps... Good luck my fellow shitey car driver!!! :)

Hey 1200 or 1300 makes for a good car. Anyway a good down payment on one. check out your used car dealerships. Maybe with the 1300 and your old clunker you can get a good dependable vehicle.

Are you talking about a Triumph Acclaim? If so dont worry it might look like a heap of crap but underneath there is some very good HONDA engineering. It will keep going when other less well built cars cease to function.Regards Mick

Look on Carparts.com. See if there is a salvage yard near you with what you need. Here is the web site.

Hey little red riding hood, take your 1300.00 and your crappy car and get a trade in at a car lot , but please be careful of the wolves in the Used car lot industry... And don't buy a Chrysler of any kind... Sorry all you Chrysler lovers.
