Triple Paste. It is located at most pharmacies or they can order it for you.

1) Use a diaper cream (i.e. Desitin, Balmex, Burt's Bees Diaper Cream, etc.). This is important because it works as a soother for the baby's skin and also protects it from wetness. An ointment that I really love (and recommended by my dermatologist) is called 'Aquaphor.' It's a great moisturizing and healing ointment.

2) Corn starch or non-perfumed baby powder - Also use this while you use a diaper cream because the powder/starch also soaks up excess moisture from the baby's skin.

3) When you give your baby a bath, use lukewarm water and a scent-free cleanser like 'Cetaphil.' The perfumed soaps might further irritate a baby's skin.

4) Change the diaper frequently or switch to a cloth diaper for a couple of days (if possible).

Wash baby's bottom every time you change the diaper. Then let the baby lay & kick without a diaper for 3-5 min. Air drying always is best & it works. Sprinkle with cornstarch & replace the diaper. It will dry up quickly. Do this even after rash is gone & your baby will stay rash free.

LOTS OF FRESH AIR!! Sometimes creams are not enough. Letting your little one take a breather could be more helpful, Just remember to use some type of waterproof padding. Corn starch is the best all natural remedy. Applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly during every diaper change can eliminate using those messy and smelly creams, like desitin.

It's all the same. They all have the same ingredients and really it just serves as a buffer so the diapy won't rub against his skin anymore. Any diaper cream will do. I got like 5 different kinds at my shower and I've tried them all- all of the ones mentioned here- and none of them work any better than the others.

I don't know if they have it where you live. It's called "fanny cream"" and the pharmacist has to mix it, but its not a prescription, it's considered as over the counter.
