You need to get common denominators.

For the first one, the common denominator would be 30.
1/6 = 5/30
2/5 = 12/30

5/30 + 12/30 = 17/30

a) ninety is the 25% of 360 (4 situations ninety) b) 22% (11/50). c) 9 (10% is two, now 2 situations 4 is 8, 5% of 20 is 1/2 of 10% so is a million, 8 plus a million is 9) d) 60 (10 % of 60 is 6, 6 situations 3 is eighteen)
