Possibly d desktop speakers are faulty. If u have another pair of speakers or headset, try it, if it works, its yur speakers. Make sure the port or hole u use to plug in d speakers is d same port u use to plug in yur headset. If not, check yur volume properties and make sure the port or hole is for output. Make sure it is plugged in correctly. Sometimes the volume knob or the plug can get faulty. Play some music and play up with d volume knob and the plug to see. Laterz!
