Why would a diamond need to be repaired? You don't repaire diamonds unless you want to re-size it for a different piece of jewelery.

yes, they are not indestructible. however, using a qualified jeweler minimizes any chances, and your insurance will cover replacement (as long as you have your jewelry on your insurance, that is), should something happen
