no, time alone will not distill water
tap water has minerals dissolved in it, like salt and calcium carbonate
these minerals are visible as white deposit if you boil a big pot of water to dryness
these minerals will not go away just sitting there
they are basically dissolved rock and it will take significant treatment to remove them from the water
in distilling, the water is instead removed from them by vaporizing the water (no minerals are vaporized and stay behind) and then recondensing the water
water that has been "distilled" this way has virtually no minerals in it

Absolutely!
If you let the tap water go down the drain to the sewage system, eventually after a long time it reaches the ocean. There it is evaporated (distilled) and creates rain, which is distilled water.
To get distilled water all you need to do is stand out in the rain with your mouth open. Drink all the free distilled water you want!
Come inside if it starts to lightening or hail.

Tap water is water that has been processed enough to make it safe to drink. It has many mierals in it. Distilled water has been boiled and the steam collected so that the minerals stay behind and the distilled water is very pure.

No. Distillation changes water from a liquid to a gas and then back into a liquid.

if it is left standing and evaporates and somehow condenses then yes. it is somewhat like distillation.
