I've not been to Sandals Whitehouse but have been to Sandals Negril twice. http://www.sandalspictures.com I've talked to many people who stayed at Sandals Whitehouse and had a great time but let me tell you why I know i'd prefer Sandals Negril.

When I stayed at Sandals Dunn's River I enjoyed it but did not like being many stories up and so far away from the beach. It seemed more like a large hotel then beach resort. I get that impression from Sandals Whitehouse. At Sandals Negril your never more than 15-20 feet from the beach and the tallest building is three stories. To me Sandals Negril is a true beach resort. A few other things we enjoyed about Sandals Negril was the 7 mile beach. We could walk to Hedonism or go the other way and walk to Beaches Resort and get drinks. In between locals sell crafts etc. Negril also has great shopping and Rick's Cafe is a blast. To me Sandals Negril and the town of Negril just seems to have it all.

Sandals Whitehouse has only been open since Feb. 10th 2005 and was built from the ground up. They have a French, Italian and Dutch Village. Those just indicate various parts of the resort. Depending on if you want quietness on the resort or closer to the pools and action will determine which Village we would put you in.

The town of Whitehouse is an old fishing village and in all honesty there is nothing there at all, no town or no other resorts for that matter. They have extensive plans for this resort, but most aren't into production yet. Such as a golf course, hiking/biking trails, etc. This resort is 360 rooms and 9 categories to choose from. All of the room categories here are Beachfront rooms. The reason for 9 categories is larger beachfront rooms and some with concierge service. It takes 90 min from the airport to get here.

Sandals Negril will be preferred by some for the reason you actually have a town there. You can go into town say for Rick's Cafe with the cliff jumping, local shopping, etc. Negril is known for some of the best beaches in the world! This resort is on one of the longest stretches in Negril. This hotel has true beachfront rooms where you walk right out onto the sand, depending on if you book this category. Staying here you have exchange privileges at Beaches Negril and Beaches Sandy Bay. As in Whitehouse you have exchange privileges, but no transfers and it's quite far approx. 1 1/2 hours to Negril. The transfer time from the airport to this resort is about an hour, maybe more depending on traffic. This hotel has 223 rooms and 8 room categories.

Both properties are great and I have had great feedback from both. It is all in what is important to you in order to determine which one you will be most happy at.

If you have further questions I would be happy to assist you with your plans.

I have been to Sandals Whitehouse and i love it there!!!! The property is amazing. So many restaurants. The different architecture styles. Its wonderful i would love to host my next birthday party there. The best part is that it is located far from any tourist areas but still near enough (Negril).

My husband and I honeymooned at Sandals Whitehouse and it was amazing. We were RIGHT on the beach and we had this incredible suite!! We have been to Beaches as well, and the difference is this, if you want to be alone with your honey on the beach, go to Sandals. Beaches was great fun, but the beaches were so crowded. At Sandals, it was never hard to find a private spot!!

The food was amazing as well. They have a little cafe called Cafe de Paris, with all sorts of sweets, pastries, and coffees. And their Jasmines restaurant has awesome food!!

I went there October 07, and the ride is long, but hey its an adventure. It wasnt a bother to me. Im 34 and I did not care for the Whitehouse. Its HUGE and you walk far to eat, and there was alot of older cuples there. I dont know what your interested in, but I liked the smaller resorts better. Its a big place, beautiful, but big. They have a desert shop you can go and get sweets till late at night, try them! That was a good spot there. Just seemed like the place settled down early and wasnt much fun. Anything else you wanna know feel free to ask!! Have fun!!

Go to tripadvisor.com to see reviews by other travellers who went there.
Then book your flight at: http://Luxe.worldventures.com They search all the other main sites like Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, hotel and airline sites and offer you the lowest price. You’ll save even more when you book it as a package like air and hotel together. Plus they’re the only online site that offers LIVE chat where you can make your specific requests such as non-smoking, king-size or double beds, etc.
Check them out and see.

Unfortunately, no. But then again, I haven't been to Jamaica yet. However, my sister has been there -- I could ask her when she gets on.

But I guess look at any reviews online from both places.
