How do I get my mom to let me stay home from school?

School just started and you're already looking for a way out? I know school can be a pain, but getting a good education is really important. If you have been overburdened with homework you might mention that so you can spend the day catching up with missed assignments. The only problem is that you'll end up with more work in your absence. Your mom is doing her job by keeping you in the classroom and what I've learned is that whether you're a child or an adult you will always have to do things you don't want to do. It only gets harder in college when you work part time and have a full time schedule. So- I know it's been said time and time again, but stay in school. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor in the long run.

K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid. It all comes down to this.. What goes around comes around and lying doesn't get you anywhere.. think about it.. what do you gain from lying nothing.. and even if you did lie, it would come back to bite u in the butt... so just be honest about what you want to do and when and this way you never end up hurting anyone or yourself in the end. Honesty is the best way to go.. my kids were always honest with me... however I was not always honest with my parents and it did come back.. so if your mom says no.. then go to school have a fantastic day and you never know when your mom just might surprise you and say hey... want to skip today and hang out and do something special... I use too....

overdoing the puking thing doesn't work.

talk to her why you want to stay home. likely its not a valid reason and she'll make you go...but if there's a bully or something, then its something that needs to be worked out.

if its just the occasional ditch that you're looking for...we all did it as kids. I'm allergic to hay...and i had to feed the horses in the morning...so i could get it on my hands....rubbed my eyes on the bus..they were red and watering by the time i got to school. the nurse sent me home for pink eye everytime.....they won't mess around with that. mom knew what i was doing, but she had to come get me anyway. though she usually made me work for the day...but i still didn't have to sit through class.

( i'm became a lawyer at 25....even with skipping the occasional day of highschool)

It sounds to me that your mom reads you like a book. Try being honest with her, that you would like to stay home sometimes. There are some things you will have to do to earn this though, keep your grades up, don't be doing those things you know she'll not approve of, and don't lie to her. My mom would let us stay out sometimes because we were like that. Now we weren't angels and she knew it, but we didn't over do laying out either. Maybe once a semester, of course we played sick sometimes and she has told us now that we're grown that she new better, but we earned a little more when we tried to do things right.

ok first thing first the afternoon b4 act like u dont feel good then in the middle of the night go to the bathroom and lock the door start coughing and gagging then flush the toilet go to ur moms room and tell her u dont feel good and that u just threw up then in the morning act like u cant move act like ur tired and cant get up (when im sick i sleep all day) then if she still makes u go to school in ur first pierod tell the teacher u have to go to the bathroom u think ur sickthen go to the bathroom and do the same thing like at home then go tell ur teacher u threw up then go to the nurse and tell her u threw up if ur mom wont come and get u or the nurse wont let u go home then do the same thing in ur next period till u do (p.s act like ur tummy hurts bad and ur head hurts)

Girl,you need to go 2 school and get an education that way you can go to college and make money and have a decent life. Lying doesn't solve anything, and i know how moms are, they WILL ALWAYS find out if you lied, i don't know how, but they will find out!

well, what ive done is faked awful cramps, faked sick the night before and carried it over the next day, ive actually slept in until it was too late to go to school,(my mom was really pissed at me for that), you could go to school, then 20-30 minutes later, go to the nurse, and act like your sick and say you need to go home, or hide in your room until the time you would be home and come out of your room fully dressed like you went to school and then play dumb if your mom says she didnt hear you come through the door, then you just call the school yourself.

take a hot shower then take ur temp and show her the thermometer. wen shes not home, try screaming at the top of ur lungs to make ur voice hoarse. this one is the best i use it every time. make a mixture of food( any type just mix and mash it together) and put it in a cup. go into the bathroom and turn the fan on so she cant hear u as well. dump the cup out into the toilet and make coughing and gagging noises. flush the toilet and then brush ur teeth or shell wonder y ur breath doesnt smell gross from puke. then sit slumped against the bathroom wall and call out to her and wait for her to come get u.

Get epoxy glue and put it on your hands. It dries like plaster, so you won't be able to do any work. If you can't do work, then what's the point of going to school? Also, you will probably be at the hospital getting the glue removed.

i don't think that lying is a way to "get" anything from your parents .. because you will always be found out. maybe not today .. maybe not tomorrow .. but it will come out.

is staying home worth losing your parents' trust?
