Something a lot of people fail to realize is that the fetal heart rate varies at different times just like ours does. The baby could have been sleeping or going through an inactive phase. The suggestion that your doctor may have had difficulty getting a good signal is also correct, as 7 and 3/7 weeks is pretty early, even with a Doppler. And, your dates could be off a little too.
Please try not to worry, as stress can cause it's own problems during pregnancy. Take good care of yourself. Exercise moderately (walking, swimming), eat a balanced diet, get plenty of rest, and think positive! Trust your doctor or health care provider and let them know if you feel something is not normal.
Good luck!

don't worry too much. I was even told by the doctor I was having a miscarriage, and I have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. Worrying will not help. If your doctor thinks its OK, then trust her/him, if you don't trust them, get a second opinion

If the doctor thinks you will be fine - tha is likely the case - although the first trimester you are at gretest risk for miscarriage. Don't smoke or drink and eat healthy and you are doing all you can!

It could have been a mistake at this early of a date maybe the doctor couldn't hear every beat. Or maybe it was your heart beat. I wouldn't worry.
