off the subject, but read "doors of perception" what a wierd road the doors were on, and also brian wilson from "the beach boys"
this will probably lead you to the charles manson book, although i dont remember the title.
would you believe j.morrison just got loaded and decided to start a rock band with his budds. it seems they had little experience in music. also its a nice insight on what it takes to make it in that world. remember these days hallucinogens are pretty much out of it, so count on the audience being a little more coherent.
