well, to be raped, is to cause physical damage as the vagina is rejecting sexual contact, therefore it can cause alot of damage, even cause a woman to not be able to have a kid any llonger, torture is not one category, torture can be for days, it can be sexual in its own right, not to mention the intensity can vary to unfathomable degrees., and etc All in all, I would have to say torture, because yes rape does cause emotional trauma, but if you have your skin peeled off little bit by little bit daily, and then have the wouln packed in salt, and have a razor cut very thin slices off your genitals before soaking them in pepperspray, that's just the beginning. Not to mention, you're just as likely to suffer severe mental trauma from severe torture for the rest of your life. just because you didn't get a penis placed into you, doesn't mean it will all be AOK afterwards....come on people.

I've been through BOTH & the torture is worse than the rape because of being left physically handicapped for the rest of your life & knowing that there is no amount of time that can allow your pain to lessen, as you live with it daily while your attacker does a few years & comes back to haunt you & possibly kill you the next time. By the way, rape is always physically painful in some way, yet most women don't admit it to their attackers.

there's different kinds of rape and different kinds of torture; a rape by someone you trusted can be so much more harmful than a violent rape by a stranger, the issues are so different; and there's some kinds of torture that are easier to bear than others. Would I want to be whipped or branded? no, but it beats having fingers or toes or limbs amputated.... I'd rather be beaten than burned.
Plus, even if it's a stranger raping you (so no breach of trust issues are involved), there's vaginal rape, sodomy, etc.
So, um, I guess I'd rather be raped by Brad Pitt than tortured by Richard Simmons but all-in-all none of it is anything I'd wish on anyone.

I think it would be worse to be physically tortured. You can be raped and it can rape your mind, but you can go to therapy and eventually heal from the psychological issues. If I was tortured it would hurt me both physically and psycologically and I would never be the same again. I would never be able to trust again and I don't think any therapy could undo that. Every time I felt pain it would bring me back. But if I had sex again, if with someone I love, it would be fine and dandy!!!

Rape is worser than being physically torture because if you get raped no matter what kind of rape it is it still is rape and that sticks with a person forever
