Certainly not. They were voted by the readers of Ultimate Guitar.com as both the 2nd best band and the worst band of the year last year. (SOAD being best of course) Some people like em, I don't. Their latest album sounds good at first and then starts to suck after you've heard it a couple times because there is nothing musically interesting about it. It's just generic riffs and crappy but catchy solos with lyrics that people just eat up but are also generic and suck. I just saw them for the pregame show and man I hate them and U2. But most people hate the music I like so don't listen to me.

hell no, they used to back in the day, but like every band that gets a taste of mtv eventually they become sell outs, and plus there like 40 year old guys that look like they shop at a hottopic clearance. come on guys. dont want to be an american idiot, well i think they might have achieved that already

Yes they sure do. They got this girl who loves RnB/Hip Hop to like their music. Excellent feat that one. Mind you it has a lot to do with their socialist lyrical content rather than the melody. They'd be a fan of the t-shirt you used to wear.

I love Green Day, but their last album definitely wasn't their best. My favourite Green Day album is a tie between Nimrod and Warning.
