They brought this woman to sing the anthem and it was awful. Where were the black entertainers? More importantly, how come they didn't observe a moment of silence for people lost?

That black woman you didn't like was Irma Thomas, a long time New Orleans entertainer. She's been recording since the early sixties. The piano player was Allen Toussaint, another New Orleans entertainer--he and Elvis Costello just did a cd together.

I thought Irma's vocals were great.

They have been doing that since last year why would they have to continue to mourn the lost for years on end. Secondly, where is it written that black entertainment always has to be at a Saints game?

I don't know I missed the beginning, but the team is mostly blacks, why is that? Gooo Saints!!!
