They used to be really clear and bright but these days they are all bloodshot and dull. I don't smoke or drink and I eat ok, so what is causing this? I would really like to know how to make them look healthy. Any ideas?

You may be anemic. You may want to get some blood work done.

As far as makeup secrets. Do your makeup as normal and than Try white eyeliner on the inside of your bottom lid. It was on the Tyra Banks show last week and it looked great when they did it. It opened up the eyes and made them look brighter.

Make sure you get plenty of sleep, look after yourself and drink plenty of water, eat healthily, and i'm sure you'll be fine. If you are worried about the condition of your eyes speak to your opthalmologist or your pharmacist.

maybe ur eyes are dehydrated, i had those semtopms, esp if the eye size is bigger than the average.. beauty never comes with no price ;)
i went to the doctor and he suggested using something like "plug ins" inside the tear cannal....... i did it and u'll never believe, i got my eyes sparkle back while i was driving home..
but my case was a bit advanced, u may wanna use natural tears drops or something.. HTH

It could be:

Allergies

Need more sleep

Allergic to something in your house (dogs, cats, dust, etc)

Smoke

Dryness in your house

Perfumes irritating your eyes

old make-up

Those are a few email me if you have a further questions. you also may want to use eye drops, they will help give them wetness, and hopefully heal them.

you may need to have your eyes checked because you may need glassers or you may not be getting enough sleep.
If you are to worried go to a GP (Dr)
