I often wonder this. Very good question i love it. Although i try not to bash them I simply state facts from the Bible. i have never used profanity in any of my posts or eer called anyone a name.
Yet all the mature adults on here resort to such. it's a little childish to me to name call and use profanity. I'm only 18 and i'm just in awe of adults that name call and use profanity. i grew out of that after like 13.
i love you,
brother in christ

gays promoting agendas????
christians opposing their lewd behaviour????
...First of all Christians are the initial bashers..they know far more about hate than any other group of people that I can think of...gay people aren't promoting an agenda..we want equality...do you think that women were promoting an agenda when they went for the vote...blacks were promoting an agenda when they wanted equality......You really don't get it do you? May your god forgive you for what you propose...

I don't expect everyone to agree with me...but I do expect to be respected. Just because I believe in something different doesn't mean I should be emotionally shot for it. It's called a difference of opinion. I don't believe in Christianity, but I respect everyone right to practice it, and I don't bash Christians....only those who THINK they are Christians and shove their intolerance in my face.
For the most part, I don't say too much about anything, especially here at school. But the minute someone tries to preach to me, yeah I go off a little bit. Because I don't see why I should be persecuted for my beliefs. So what if you think homosexuality is wrong-I don't. We can have a difference of opinion and still get along and respect one another.

Its the anger in which you approach it. I doubt very seriously if a gay person will say that your behavior is lewd and offensive yet you say that about them. Yes there can be Christian bashing which is equally wrong...but you are bashing them yourself because you are not trying to see them as individual people.

"Bashing" is violent. LGBT people are killed by gangs of "gay bashers." I have never heard of a gang of gays going out looking for a Christian to beat up and maybe kill. That is the difference.

No one should be a basher. Opposing in a peaceful way should be the right of both. Neither has the right to force their beliefs on another.

The problem I have with religion are those who use the pulip to promote hate not just for gays but those who are pro choice, opose the war the death penalty and other social issues. The leaders like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell to me are not men of God but out to make money.

In this country we believe that you cannot discriminate against someone because of their faith, or their sexual preference.
Bashing is personal opinion, and both groups bash away.
But if you want laws discriminating against the other group in society, forget it. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave.
btw, I also believe that separation of church and state was NEVER intended to prevent anyone from praying ANYWHERE. It was only supposed to keep the Government from sponsoring one religion above others. IMHO. :)
