A bonfire, roasting marshmallows, and making s'mores is great.
you could have water balloon fight
make a cake & put ground up oreo cookies all over the frosting to make it look like dirt. then take gummie worms to make it look like they're coming out of the dirt. and you can take lady finger cookies & cut them in half and put them on the cake like grave stones.
you can do a version of pin the tail on the donkey - get a big piece of butcher paper and markers and let everyone help make a picture of the scariest or most disliked teacher in school. Take long pieces of ribbon or yarn with tape, spin each other around, and pin the tail on the teacher.

Hmm..I think 14 is too old for trick or treating but a party sounds like a great idea. It's a school night so you kind of need to start the festivities at around 5 because I'm sure you guys can't be up too late. I would do Pizza and get some Halloween music on CD's or watch a great Halloween movie.

Believe it or not the old Bobbin for Apples is great if you add a twist - get a big bucket full of water or use a kitchen sink if you do not have anything else. Have guests keep hands behind their back and try to get the apple with only their mouth. You can put a coin or something in each apple and the guest who gets the apple with a quarter in it wins the biggest scary prize (either a trick or a treat). The ones with dimes get 2nd rated prizes etc.. BUT....
they have to go through a maze or they would have to search certain spooky areas for these hidden prizes. Like a treasure hunt. Buy some sound or touch activated props and maybe a smoke machine to help set the mood. Download some Halloween special effects music and keep that playing low in the background (Doors creaking, screaming, cats skreeching, etc...)
Have the area of your party dimmed and have special props that light up/scary effects etc... Check out Halloween stores for scary props/lights etc... If you have a hope chest in the house - your parents might let you borrow it for the night - line it with dark Maroon or black material and leave it cracked open a little with a hand sticking out etc... and have sound effects coming from inside - feel free to add more things to this idea. I would also hang things from the ceiling for dramatic effects - paper bats (made from black construction paper) ghost figures (white construction paper etc...) stick clothes / boots fake body parts etc... on your lawn
make some headstone props, spider webs etc...
Serve graveyard cake (Regular cake in a roasting pan)
Frost w/chocolate frosting and crumble oreo cookies on top and have vienna fingers sticking out (1/2 way) like tombstones - you could even write on them "RIP" decorate with candy corn and some halloween candies.
Don't forget Halloween dance music like the Monster Mash - look up others online.
Have a costume contest with a prize for the winner.

Ok, here are some fun ideas for your party...
Recipe Ideas
kitty litter desert. (See below for recipes.)
Witchy fingers
Salami and Cream Cheese Wraps
I always had fun doing treasure hunts. You can have your mom set it up so you can join in on the fun. Start with one clue to find the next clue. Then the next, until you find the final prize. You can have small prizes at each location or just one big one at the end. Have enough prizes so everyone will get one. You can either do it as one big group or split up.
If you have nice weather where you are you can play hiding games outside. Like hide and seek or Raspberry (not sure how it got the name), You have one person hide and everyone counts to 100 and then goes to try to find the hider, the hider will get into some position and when others find the hider they will copy the position until everyone finds the hider. The real rules has it so the last person to find you is the next hider, but we changed the rule when I was a kid because everyone wanted to be the hider, so they would be slow on purpose, so we made the first person to find the hider the next hider.

KITTY LITTER CAKE
1 spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 white cake mix
1 large pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
1 pkg vanilla sandwich cookies
Green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls
1 new (and definitely unused) kitty litter pan
1 new plastic kitty litter pan liner
1 new Pooper Scooper
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans).
Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble.
Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup.
To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops green food coloring and mix using a fork or shake in a jar.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. (Mix in just enough of the pudding to moisten it. You don't want it soggy. Combine gently).
Line new, clean kitty litter box.
Put mixture into litter box.
Put three unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft and pliable.
Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls and bury in mixture.
Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top.
Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly over the top. (This is supposed to look like the chlorophyll in kitty litter.)
Heat 3 Tootsie Rolls in the microwave until almost melted.
Scrape them on top of the cake; sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
Spread remaining Tootsie Rolls over the top; take one and heat until pliable, hang it over the side of the kitty litter box, sprinkling it lightly with cookie crumbs.
Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs around.
Serve with a new pooper scooper.

Creepy Witches' Fingers
Yield: 5 dozen
1 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Icing sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Almond extract
1 tsp Vanilla
2 2/3 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Almonds, whole blanched
1 Tube red decorator gel
(optional, not pictured)
Gross everyone out with these creepy cookies.
In bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla. Beat in flour, baking soda, and salt. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Working with one quarter of the dough at a time and keeping remainder refrigerated, roll heaping teaspoonful of dough into finger shape for each cookie. Press almond firmly into 1 end for nail. Squeeze in centre to create knuckle shape. (Accompanying picture showed long rolled shape with bulge at centre for knuckle; you puff it out rather than squeeze it in.) Using paring knife, make slashes in several places to form knuckle.
Place on lightly greased baking sheets; bake in 325F (160C) oven for 20-25 minutes or until pale golden. Let cool for 3 minutes. Lift up almond, squeeze red decorator gel onto nail bed and press almond back in place, so gel oozes out from underneath. You can also make slashes in the finger and fill them with "blood."
(ed. note - I opted not to go for the bloody effect as you can see in my picture above, and my guests were still grossed out! - Britta)
Remove from baking sheets and let cool on racks. Repeat with remaining dough.

Salami and Cream Cheese Wraps
miniature sweet pickles
cream cheese
sliced salami
toothpicks
Cut the miniature pickles into fourths lengthwise, so that the pickle slices are still roughly the same length as the salami slices. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on a slice of salami, wrap around a pickle slice and close with a toothpick.
