I am thinking very heavily about having a vasectomy in the near future, being a young male (age 22) I do realize that this is a totally permanent version of birth control and that reversal should never be counted on....regardless, if I DO decide I want to have children in the future, I’d really like to know the chances on INF, and if there are ANY other alternatives…even freezing my semen in a sperm bank for a while might seem like a good idea….I realize while the costs may not be cheap to have a child in the future I feel that it’s may be worth my interest now, since I am just starting to acquire money and am frequently finding women tiring to get after my money more often, being a child into the world is not only a huge family issue, but a legal issue as well and can be used against me in court. Any information would be helpful, please note I am not looking a reason NOT to do this (such as I am to young (without a medical reason), children are important in a persons life, my wife may

Also I think it may be important to note that I am a virgin, meaning no sexual contact ever in my life.

About INF...the chances of being able to get my sperm out of my body (not if a woman is able to conceive)...

This was cut out by a spell check...

If my question wasn’t clear enough
1)How effective are some other forms of impregnating a woman…INF…freezing semen…ect
2)How effective are the techniques in #1 with taking the sperm from my body and being able to get a “good” sample”
3)Any experiences or other advice would be helpful

FYI, people before you say that I should use a condom every time, condoms ARE NOT 100% effective, if they were there would be no permanent solutions, neither is chemical birth control, and it seriously isn’t that hard to FORGET to take a pill, or poke a hole in a condom.

If you are a virgin now and plan to be for quite some time, then why go for surgical sterilization? You can't impregnate a woman if you don't have intercourse. Teens nowadays are doing oral, anal so they can "claim" to be virgins.

Why not wait til you build your career then decide to have children. If you are worried about your money, then don't marry without a pre-nup. In-vitro fertilization is a gamble at best. Very costly and a low rate of success. Plus, frozen sperm has a "shelf life" of maybe 5 years.

You are not going to find good answers from a bunch of people scribbling on message boards. Go see a counselor and a physician. Those people are educated, trained, state certified to provide you with good answers.

you are very young to make this decision and i think it is not a good decision to make. however, the choice is yours. be prepared to live to regret it when you are older and want children or the woman you love wants children. that could easily be a deal breaker to many women. seems kinda drastic with all the birth control options out there. on the other hand, if you dont want to get nailed with a paternity suit and child support someday that means you have to protect yourself with a condom every time. some women are sneaky little snakes and everyone knows at least a few people pregnant on the pill. i dont know about freezing the semen you might check into that. reversal of vasectomy are actually pretty successful and you might do searches or meet with a few urologists to see if there are any new procedures that are more easily reversible.

I personally think you need to take a HUMONGOUS step back and just slow down. You are going to change your mind about a lot of things in the coming years, and it would be in your best interest not to do anything extreme now. You have NO IDEA what you will want 5, 10 or 20 years from now!

Your biggest concern should be proper and consistent condom use if you have sex (and you haven't even had it yet!). You really need to take one step at a time...

Btw... carpa kid - vasectomy does NOT mutilate any organ. Good heavens!

Not sure what the question is, but vasectomy is a deliberate mutilation of a healthy organ. For 22, you have certainly developed quite a self-centered approach on life.
