i'm trying to complete a set of the 50 state quarters... maybe even two. okay, it could be a case of too much time on my hands, but i've found nothing but "P" (philadelphia-minted) quarters since i moved to the east coast. up until now i had all "D" (denver-minted)quarters from living in the upper midwest.

where you live, are you running across more "P", or "D" coins? what's your general location? do you collect state quarters too?

WOW.. I'm in Missouri.. and you have me curious..

I started collecting all of the quarters when each State was represented on the back, but I wasn't particularly going for each mint. Later after collecting a few for one collection I decided to do 4 collections, one for my hubby, and one for each of my children.. So now I'm gonna drag them all out and count all of the P's and D's from what has been issued and collected so far. ((Gonna need my glasses for this chore!))

The collection inserted into the coin collecting billboard was way too difficult to remove each one and flip easily so that one was not in this count...

Out of the other 3 collections it turns out there were 94 minted in Delaware, and only 11 minted in Philadelphia!

In Bakersfield, California, Pennsylvania state quarters are a rarity here. The only one's I could find were Maine and Ohio in P mint. Everything else here is Denver mint. I too am a state quarter collector, and I am looking forward to have MANY sets of the COMPLETE P&D STATE QUARTERS. This will difficult, though...

West coast, mostly Ds. My husband has a quarter collection and has one P and D for each state quarter. I just now went through my coin purse and found 8 Ds and 4 Ps. I'm thinking my frequent trips to the East coast have contributed to my Ps. George is hanging out in our back yard due to our abundance of cherry trees.
