its not always neccessarily the case. a white guy for instance who has an IQ of 145 or something like that who hates black and asian people is still a racist no matter what. so therefore racism and intelligence don't go well together. however racism AND ignorance are two words that link well together. it all depends on a person's upbringing, social status and political economy

Agreed. Emotional maturity is in there somewhere also.
At some point we wake up and realize that somebody else is not to blame for our problems.
There are problems imposed upon us by others, but that is not the same thing, and it's OK to be angry at that.
Racism of sorts is natural, as it is natural to notice genetic differences between yourself and someone else, but only like the child that asks on the playground "why is your skin a different color?"
But to carry that into bigotry is unreasonable, and points to an unwillingness to accept things at face value. It's easier to blame, and subsequently to hate. That's emotional immaturity, coupled with ignorance.

I don't think racism is always about skin colour. Isn't it also racism when you discriminate against people who look just like you but are from a different country?

if everyone were intelligent then we wouldnt have any racism because people would be intelligent enough to to understand that we were all the same underneath skin colour doesnt determine who we are as ppl

racism is a delusion, usually manifest as a paranoid delusion, and even the most intelligent suffer from delusions

My IQ is 146, which is considered borderline genius. I am also a racist. Countless brilliant men and women have been racists. Racism exists not because of "hate" but because most people can distinguish between the positive and the negative in people & groups.

I think it's sort of correct. I believe that racism stems from xenophobia (fear of foreign people), and phobias are an irrational or illogical fear of something.

Not true. Some very intelligent people are racist as hell. Just proves what Forrest's mama always said, "Stupid is as stupid does."
