Yes, more are being created, because none of the government or CIA responsible have yet been brought to justice, but they have alienated so many others who were previously peaceful, that more terrorism occurs.
One very significant point is the depleted uranium in Iraq.
The radiation from the DU shells is causing so much pain and anguish to Iraqis that many of them know they are doomed to die from the cancers thy have caught from the radiation.
So, in order to get rid of the pain, they don't mind killing themselves, and may as well take some of those whom they see responsible with them.
This is why there are so many suicide bombers - because so many people are affected by radiation from the DU weapons, including American soldiers.

Absolutely! This illegal Iraqi war has fueled the insurgency, caused by al-Qaeda-affiliated groups and sympathizers! And not to mention it has further increased the already high risk of terror attacks worldwide! Can't that freaking incompetent Bush see the light on this mess he made? I doubt it! Just wait and see for yourselves!

It probably about equals out.

Are we killing terrorists? Absolutely. Many of the insurgents we kill and capture are from other countries.

Are we strengthening their resolve by being there in the fight? Absolutely. We're up against religious nutjobs that think you dont deserve to live and they believe if they blow you or your family up or die trying theyll goto paradise with virgins waiting for them.

So the Q is, sit back, do nothing, hope they start liking you, and wait for the next 9/11 to happen? Or take the fight to countries that are sponsoring terrorism (Pre2003-Iraq) and depose their Govt. We're proceeding the only way it could possibly be done short of nuclear sanitation.
