It's hard to know what you should or should not have done when someone you care for passes away - particularly when they take thier own life. However, especially in this situation, there was probably not much you could have done. Once a person makes up thier mind to take thier own life, they usually see it as being a perfectly logical decision and will not usually let people know outright that this is what they are planning.
If he was a close friend, you can take comfort from the fact that you made his time here a happy one and shared some of yourselves with each other.
If you know his address, his family would probably be happy to recieve some flowers or words of support. It may comfort them to know how much he meant to all of you and what you shared together. If not, try sending an email as his family members may check them every now and then. Maybe your group of friends can get together and celebrate what he meant to you. It may help with closure for all of you.
Good luck my friend.

there is no worry-free well previous the sentiments you've. they only get a lot less severe as time passes. some days you'll awaken and sense no longer so undesirable about it. and some days you'll awaken and be ate up through grief and guilt at what you "would have" prevented. Days like those will ultimately change right into a lot less time-honored. it would take years. My ex significant different hung himself and that i went through an finished decision of thoughts. it really is been over a three hundred and sixty 5 days and that i nevertheless have nightmares. it is going to take time, yet you receives previous it ultimately.

Send the family a card. See if someone wants to do a memorial web site for him and all his friends can share about him. On my 360 is a highlighted post "A tribute to Jacob Castro" a boy who died at age 14 about 1 1/2 years ago. There is a link to his memorial web site. I think anyone can set up a website like that to keep your friends memory alive. It is very hard for the ones that are left behind and I wish you comfort as you deal with this terrible loss.

You are not responsible for what he did. Even if you were geographically close to him, you might have not have been able to do anything. Don't lay a trip on yourself. I am sorry that this happened to you, and I can understand how traumatic it must be. Send his family a sympathy card or give them a call to express your feelings. Just deep moving and in time you will feel better. My heart goes out to you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing a friend, even if you've never met him in person is very painful. If the person suffered from depression, there was probably nothing anybody could do.

I think you should write the parents and express your condolences and also tell them what he meant to you and thank them for his birth and express that he was a wonderful gift to you and the world while he lived.

That is a shame, I'm sorry. If you have any addresses for the family you could send a note saying how good your friend made you feel & how many people his life touched. Maybe send flowers to the funeral home.

Very sorry. As far as letting his family know how much he meant to you and so many others, you could take out an ad in his hometown newspaper. Just an idea. And if you do, spare no expense......let his family know how brightly he shone!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. Please take a moment to forgive yourself for not seeing it. Now understand that there is no way you could know what your friend was going to do. Give yourself a break. I'm sure you were a good friend to him online.

If you have a way to find his family, write them a sympathy note and mail it to them. Here's a good way to do it

Send them a nice note with some cute stories he had shared with you. Tell them how much you enjoyed talking with him and will miss him a lot.
