That is how you clear prior searches in th"Search Bar". Everybody else is talking about just clearing your history.

All these are wrong, to delete history in the search bar just scroll the arrow on your mouse over the previous search (the one you want to get rid of) and do not click, when it is highlited with the arrow just push the delete key on your keyboard and its gone.

Why, don't want people to see the porn sites you've been to?

Two ways -
1) Click on TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, CLEAR HISTORY
2) Right click the START button, EXPLORE, LOCAL SETTINGS, HISTORY. While you're in there blow away the TEMP files, Temporary Internet Files, and Application Data files.

get the COOKIES folder too.

It allows you to erase Window's temp folders, run history, search history, open/save history, recent documents, your browser's cache, cookies, history, visited URLs, typed URLs, autocomplete memory, index.dat files, Google search history, Yahoo search history, MSN search history. It's free. You can find it at any of the following:

Click 'Wash Settings' to select all items of Internet Explore or Firefox or other browser. If you want to clear history of Google Toobar and Yahoo Toolbar, also select 'Google Toolbar' and 'Yahoo Toolbar' on 'Application' page. Then you can wash them.
