She is coming on a tourist visa but I may want her to stay longer and can employ her in my company as well, but 30 days is not enough time to know if I should marry in my opinion. I am worried that she may have to return to the Phillipines to get a different type of visa. My hope is that she can get it changed here. Does anyone know? The state department website does not have the answer as far as I can tell. Thanks!

my husband came on a tourist visa, we got married and his visa expired we filed anyways with USCIS and it took almost 2 years to finalize everything, however, they gave us a work permit 90 days after everything was filed. The only way I know of legally to allow her to stay and work is marry her.

sorry BUT be very careful. my brother in law went over to the Philippines to live there for a couple of years. he met and married a girl there whom he said really loved him. and he loved her. they had a child then she wanted to come over to Britain. so they flew over and got a house. BUT she was only with him for about 12 month. then she run off with the child. he has tryed for a few year to track her down BUT has never found her. HE was then told by the government the girls over there will do ANYTHING to get a visa to Britain or the states or anywhere they can to get out of there country. he said thinking back when he lived over there she was a perfect wife. couldn"t do enough for him. BUT as soon as they got over here she changed. that could of been because she was out of her country she didn"t need him anymore. so as i said be very careful. there are men all over who fell for their charms. please dont be the next one.

You'd have to marry. If you're not sure if you want to marry her then don't be in such a rush to keep her around. Get to know her better before and if anything, wait it out for a few months, then marry her.
