How do you not experience racism? It is all around you. I do my best to stay tolerant of others but they do their best to survive and that makes them prejudice sometimes. I have a rainbow of friends but that does not mean they all get along. That is what I like about this place. I have no idea what you all look like. You have a nice picture but for all I know that is somebody you wish you were. I keep my identity hidden if only to let others feel that I am a friend. I remember one guy who wanted to fight me over a word, not a derogatory word, but a word he found objectionable. i wound up inviting him over to my house for a snack. I had a guy who every body thought blew the curve and nobady wanted to give him abreak because of his race. I hung around with him and every body got to see him for the good guy he was. The point is I have never met the race that put me down once they got to know me and I them.

Yeah. Only it's more than race now...it's religion.
You only have to look here on Y!A to see religious hatred and bigotry of misguided Christians against Islam and the Muslims. The Christians think just because extremists conduct terror acts, these extremists are also Muslims and Muslims (myself included) condone such acts.
What hurts more is that these so-called Christians won't accept the undeniable truth that their faith has its share of dark bloody atrocities commited, not only against Muslims, but on Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans and other minorities and religions.

I worked in a predominantly white company ( I am also Caucasian) but my department was run by and Asian woman and she made it very clear, with bonuses and work load that the other Asian members in her department were the only ones getting ahead.
It was the first time in my life I felt what it was like to be discriminated against merely for my skin colour and I think mainly my ethnicity.

You must go to school in a really nice area.....LOL..jk. I have seen fights at school several times, but they were not really about different races. The fights just happened to be between two different races, and that was it. This happens everywhere, even at work!

I think the world is full of many kinds of prejudice and it really saddens me that the youth of today are putting such hatred out there. When will we learn to live with respect for all human beings and realize that God created all of us. We all desire and deserve respect.

Do you think rascism is worse than religious intolerance and bigotry?
Say the word "Catholic" and watch what happens.
