So you're saying you are against companies making money? That's what companies are supposed to do, make money.

This war profiteering is pretty disgusting. I wonder how much money Cheney has made from the zillions of options and shares of Haliburton he owns in "blind trust." Gives a whole new meaning to "blind trust" doesn't it?

In Haliburton's case, the war profiteering is more than a little troubling. Business and comerce do exist to make profits but usually common business practices are adhered to: specifications are established, bids submitted and choices made with plenty off oversight. With Haliburton, normal business practices have been dispensed with. No competition, no accountability, no oversight, and no consequences. The war has been pretty good for a lucky few.

It is wrong that the Vice President's former company was awarded a no-bid contract to do everything in Iraq from rebuilding infrastructure, to supplying our troops with their daily rations. Isn't it just a little odd that the company Cheney ran before assuming the position of VP was given sole responsibility for rebuilding the country that Cheney and his master were about to destroy? Quite a coincidence, at best. And don't tell me there were no other qualified companies who could have done the job. I've heard that one before. Halliburton did a real bang up job serving our troops their daily rations, as you may have heard.

Businesses (i.e. Halliburton) make money by offering products or services in exchange for a fee. Its too bad that anti-war kooks like yourself have to be so irrational about everything.

yes, very.
excellent question!

war profiteering is TREASON
-----------------------------------------------------------
Franklin Roosevelt during World War II, "I don't want to see a single war millionaire created in the United States as a result of this world disaster"?
During World War II Harry Truman referred to some forms of war profiteering as "treason."
When he heard rumors of such profiteering, Truman got into his Dodge and, during a Congressional recess, drove 30,000 miles paying unannounced visits to corporate offices and worksites. The Senate committee he chaired launched aggressive investigations into shady wartime business practices and found "waste, inefficiency, mismanagement and profiteering," according to Truman, who argued that such behavior was unpatriotic.
