My young one has a wicked case of hives like i've never seen before. He's covered head to toe. We're giving him antihistamines like the dr. said, but they just keep coming and going. Does anybody know how long they can last, and it they'll keep coming and going like this. Any info would be great . Thanks.

Benedryl is the only thing I know of. Have you changed soap or detergents lately? Also, Has the little one ate new foods lately? You can develope an allergy to anything, at anytime. If you think It may be a food allergy, watch for Peanuts, milk, and oats they are the more frequent villians. If you notice any swelling or labored breathing, go directly to the ER .. Hope this helped

What worked for me was a warm bath with oatmeal in it, it's messy but the hives went away within 30 minutes. Worry can cause it to flare up, so try to make it relaxing by putting on some music he likes.

Have him drink lots of water to flush out his system. Wash clothing and bedding in soap without fragrences. Itching isn't good. Keep the skin clean., There are oimtments that help with the itching and oatmeal baths to help clean the skin.

Hang in there, this too shall pass
