I'm not sure I understand the question, but I'll try. Fisher Price for example, makes toys for certain stages of a child's development. Very young babies see the colors black, white and red the best, so there are a lot of black, white and red plush toys for infants. 2 year olds can't maneuver very small objects well because they don't have the fine motor skills that an older child would have, so they make toys like those short, round little 'weeble' looking toys that 2 year olds can pick up easily, and that won't fit into their mouths. Between ages 10 months and 2, kids are learning that there are different textures, so the toys for that age range are like...books that have something rough, something smooth, something shiney etc...Toy manufacturers research these things, and try to create specific toys that are fit for the learning needs of certain age groups.
