I have no defrost. I am hoping someone may guide me to a flow chart of sorts. I have some very good responses to my basic Q and want to try and find something vivid to respond on resolving my problem.
My basic thought is there should be a way, what with the year and model-make of my car. It doesn't seem reasonable that there is not an alternate available.
TU for any responses........herb

Does the fan and everything work when you are in the "defrost" mode? If you can hear the fan running and nothing is happening then either the cable is broken or the flex hoses are disconnected under the dash. You can buy new hose and replace them if that is the cause. Also, check under the hood because chevy uses tiny little vacuum hoses that can come undone! You'll see them they are about 1/8" in diameter and you will see them going to various aspects of the heater and AC system. Just check all of them to make sure they are not damaged or disconnected. Make sure your valve is opening and closing in the heater hose for cold and hot air temp.
