It was well worth it. I had my surgery 6 years ago and still see 20/15. Why the wait? If your prescription is stable and you are over 18(not 21) you can have the surgery. I wish I would have done mine sooner than I did. I wasted a lot of money on Contact Lenses and solutions.

I am so glad I had it done. The results were amazing. Waiting a couple yrs will be great too, cuz my eye doc said I had it done in the stone age...lol....Every yr, they update it and they know more and more.
I was seeing 20/15 immediately. Im so happy with the results I got.
You have to be 21 to get it done.

My eyesight is 20/400 which is really bad. At one time I wanted to do Lasik surgery, but I was too afraid of the risk. I recently started doing eye exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.
I haven't seen any improvement as yet, but other people (who have experienced improvements) also post comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: http://improvingmyeyesight.com/blog
Good luck

well i tried coming in to get lasik eye surgery but i was told that i should wait till i'm a little bit older until i get it because your prescription will be constantly changing. I was told that the ideal age would be late 20's to early 30's.

i am also thinking about getting it really soon, i am in the military, and us service members get it for free. but we get to pick between lasik and laser. i heard horror stories from both, but i heard good stories about it too. id say go for it but dont pay too much; shop around and go to a trusted and well established place. you dont want someone that is straight out of college performing surgery on the most delicate part of your body, you want someone with experience.
